Alphalete Social Listening

 Social Listening Blog

I selected the brand Alphalete, it is a clothing brand that makes workout clothes.. This product interests me because I always see it popping up on my feed whether it be the people I follow are wearing it or ads. I like working out and like to adventure out on different brands than just wearing Nike or Adidas. Alphalete's was founded by a man named Guzman and his brand proposition is to create an elite brand that he would wear himself as both functional work out pieces and lifestyle attire. He has always pressed on the idea to simply have quality product that speaks for itself

Jack Cronin commented on twitter “I swear Alphalete has the best shorts” and Emily Clark replied to someone's post saying “Girl, they are pregnancy friendly! Seriously, @bufflebunny_Co and @alphalete are hands down worth every penny and the comfiest thing you'll ever put on your body!” There are people who swear by this brand and although this brand is smaller than most work out brands it is growing by the second and people get very excited about their new launches. Alphalete just released a new set of colors last Saturday and here is what Yami had to say, “I've been waiting for an Alphalete drop and that sh*t is ugly.” all found on Twitter

Alphalete does a really good job with partnering with well-known social media people to advertise their product. A girl named Kate that is an influencer on Tik Tok with 1.6 million followers is always promoting their brand while giving out discount codes for new launches. They also have a whole plan on trying to grow their company by being consistent with ongoing ads and campaigns. Guzmans approach is to only be a launch-based company. I have never personally heard of a only launch based company where basically they launch new products every month and if they run out, then that's it until the next launch. I think this could be either be a really good business idea or bad. Really good because if someone really likes the brand then they will make sure to buy something every time they launch because they might not be able to in the future if it gets sold out, a bad aspect of it being if they come out with different styles every time, then people will know that your wearing an old version of it which isn't always appealing in societies eye. The company calls it FOMO marketing(fear of missing out) which is in my opinion a remarkably genius idea to make high potential sales. While the company is very inclusive with their customers, they don't publicly comment very much, at least I haven't found any but they do have some sort of communication since there are ads made by private parties. Which is a good business move  to avoid confrontation between unhappy customers publicly

I would definitely respond to customers in moderation, answering questions and liking other people's positive reviews. I would maybe post a screenshot of any question I answered on Instagram, twitter, or any social media platform. Everyone knows if one person has a question, odds are someone else does too. One  thing that I have learned is they face problems with having inventory so one thing that I would change if I was the business owner is prioritizing spending money on the volume of product that is produced so they don't miss out on potential sales while the company can grow.
